The level of anxiety in today’s world is high. Piling up day by day the anxiety gradually reaches the point at which the person starts having regular panic attacks. This is rarely caused by medical problems or mental disease. Just everyday stress or side effects of some medications are enough to cause a panic attack.

Of course other drugs may be used to fight with the anxiety attack symptoms but these might also have their side effects and you can easily end up relying on them instead on yourself to have normal life. But medication is not the only option. There are many simple techniques to allow you to return to your normal life without the need of drinking 5 pills per day of some unknown drug.

The single most important thing is to believe in yourself. If you manage to boost your self confidence you will find out it is much easier to fight with the effects of stress and you will never be scared of your everyday life to the extend of having panic attack.

If is too late to start training your mind and you already have had anxiety attacks, learn how to stop them even after their start. Always remember that the panic attack is not a life treating situation. It will pass out as quickly as it started and you will be back to normal in few minutes. This thought will actually shorten the length of the attack and will make it much more bearable.

Control your breathing. The adrenaline produced during the anxiety attack will make you breathe much faster than usual, leading to high oxygen concentration, which on its turn will make the attack harder to come up with. Slow, controlled breathing will give your organism a chance to recover its oxygen balance, gradually lowering the anxiety. In just 15 or 20 breaths the panic attack will be over, leaving you in much better state. Once you have managed to win the battle with panic attack a few times, they will gradually loose their strength until they completely disappear. And then you will know you have won the battle with this problem and won back your normal life.

Never think you are different and something is wrong with you. At least 18% of the population have suffered a panic attack and most have fully recovered. If you remain positive about your problem and do your best, you will be back to normal in no time, so do not be afraid, be strong as many have been where you are now and you will fully recover too.

Of course it is always a good idea to visit a medical specialist, just in case the panic attacks are a sign of some physical problem, as such possibility exists. The doctor will also be able to give you some totally safe food supplements to help you deal with your condition with minimal effort. Just do not attempt taking these with no medical approve, to avoid possible side effects and complications of other physical problems you may have.

With the combined effort of both you and your doctor, you will be back to normal and the memory of the bad experience you had will gradually fade away, leaving a much stronger person.
